End Of Tenancy Information

Your tenancy can end in a number of ways. Most tenancies are granted for a contractual fixed 6 month period.  This is the minimum time an Assured Shorthold Tenancy can be made.

I can issue you with a 2 month written notice which is usually in the form of a section 21 notice. (A no "Fault" eviction)

You have to give me 1 months written notice.  Written notice has to be in letter form and only becomes accepted once I have acknowledged it, this doesn't change your end date.  Acknowledgement will take the form of confirmation of you notice along with further information about the end of your tenancy. A template for written notice can be downloaded here.

On very rare occasions a Section 8 eviction will be sought but this is usually because of serious breach of the tenancy agreement.  If this situation has been reached it will come as no surprise to you.  (This is very much a "Your Fault" eviction).
